We want to share an update following last night’s events in Odesa.
A Russian drone strike landed outside Tikva’s offices, engulfing the building in flames. Across the road, Tikva’s Great Choral Synagogue also suffered significant damage.
A security guard was injured, and the impact on this vital community hub is considerable.
Footage from the scene here show shattered windows, damage to the aron kodesh, and hundreds of food packages, prepared for weekly distribution to vulnerable members of the community, destroyed by glass and debris. These supplies are essential for those who rely on them.
Efforts to resume operations are already underway, and Tikva remains determined to ensure that support continues to reach those who depend on it.
